Month: February 2012

  • Good Morning

5:30am "Look at Me Now" alarm goes off
    snooze
    5:45am alarm raps again
    snooze
6:05am fiance kicks me out of bed
    me: sh!t I'm late!
    fiance: sshhh!!!

Since I was already late I figured I'd take this awesome sunrise on my way to work to share my lovely morning. As I reach the parking lot I realized I forgot to grab my shoes.

  • The good, bad, and ugly of February

    /sigh

Another Monday... Work sucks! I've been working 12 on and 12 off the past couple weeks. Midnight to noon shift sucks. Work then sleep and no time for anything. I guess my paycheck will make up for it...kinda.

Every week I look forward to the weekends. The best weekends are holiday weekends because I get paid for that day. Thank you presidents for having your day fall on a Monday and giving my fiance and I a relaxing beach day on the other side of the island.

I need to remember to bring the GoPro chest or wrist strap. The waves were four to six feet and not to crowded.

This month so far has been a rollercoaster. My birthday was awesome as always (still waiting for my extra 2gigs ram birthday gift for my old school mac laptop). Got our deposit and date locked in for our reception. Valentines was perfect, (and cheap) pho for dinner and a movie The Vow. My fiance finally picked out our favors and center pieces. We went from Tiffany-looking boxes to the boxes shown above. And the center pieces we went fish tank and dropped some shells with a candle.

The worst of this month has got to be the anonymous driver who reversed into our driveway and banged my fiance's car. Who bangs a parked car? February is not the best month for my fiance. Someone stole a pair of shoes from her store and left their old pair. And another day she caught someone trying to take a picture of her while she was ringing them up. I would of spinning roundhouse kick that fool. I, on the otherhand, lost my wallet couple weekends ago. Which I then found at work after calling my card companies that I lost my wallet. What a month.

  • What a Night

Last night my fiance surprised me with an amazing birthday dinner at Tidepools Restaurant at Grand Hyatt. Now I'm not the kind of guy that likes to be the center of attention but my fiance insist that I deserve to have atleast a small dinner. After looking at the prices of the entrees and appetizers, this birthday dinner was no way near a "small dinner".

Our sunset view dinner started off with a refreshing Kekaha Koola. For appetizers we both shared the delicious kalua pork pupusas and my new favorite coconut shrimp and crab chowder. My fiance order the surf and turf while I ordered the prime rib. Saved the best for last for dessert we ordered what they call 'Fat Elvis'.

Aside from my facebook page filled with birthday wishes, my phone notifying me every minute, text messages and phone calls from family, and my fiance surprising me with a dinner. I have to say I'm very grateful for everyone for making my birthday extra special.

  • Twenty SssEight

This is my year older smile after a three hour canoe paddle practice. I can feel my back telling me I should've sleeped in. 28 years old today!

  • Hottie

I was bored looking at apps and came across this app called Hubba Hubba. And after a good 10 minutes I came out with this. If you get a chance, download this app and show me what you come out with. I triple dog dare you.

  • Things have slowly been coming along with the wedding. Invitations are done and are being delivered. We talked to the resort manager to finalize our agreement contract. We contacted our cake baker and scheduled a cake tasting. We also bought tickets to Oahu and look for our wedding ceremony and reception attire.

What we still need to figure out are the wedding favors that my fiance wants. Gather pictures and video clips to make a slide show. Ask around for a projector for the slide show. Find a picture frame or two for our guest to sign or write on the frame. Plan a program for the reception. Maybe think of games to have...clueless

On another note, last night my fiance didn't have her "face" on so I was volun-told to pick up some make up that sounds like girlie math equations. (MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC30?? and Blushbabyblush???) Maybe, its something a quarterback could say before the snap...

  • 4 Months and 11 Days until Wedding

Took me about 4 hours on the last invitations just because I haven't used GIMP in forever. The last print came out nice but my fiance didn't like how she looked in one of the picture. wtf

So here I am again round two with my Filipino neighbors singing karaoke on full blast.

  • 4 Months and 12 Days until Wedding

T-Minus 4 months and 12 days until the ball and chains get tighter and shorter. Save me now! LOL

The planning, arranging, and finalizing everything is just like what you see on television, pretty damn stressful (except for the dramatization). We, just my fiance and I, have been planning a small budget wedding/reception with close family and friends. But as it gets closer and closer to the date, more and more people are slowly being added to our guest list.

So far we have our our locations set for our wedding and reception. We have a set list of the guests attending, I hope. As you can see from the picture above I borrowed some ideas online and made my own invitations. Once thats done, get it printed and sent. Got my boombox for entertainment. Hmmm what else I need to do?
